IMRE hosts the most advanced electron microscope facilities in A*STAR and caters to physical, chemical, and materials research in a diverse spectrum of fields within A*STAR. Currently, there are four transmission electron microscopes (TEM), including one state-of-the art aberration-corrected TEM, various sample holders and a suite of sample preparation facilities in IMRE.  Their aim is to enhance the knowledge base and promote scientific advancements across various domains.

A*STAR IMRE’s team of skilled microscopists and experienced scientists are dedicated to conducting research projects, providing a comprehensive support, from sample preparation to data analysis in A*STAR. In addition to serving A*STAR’s research community, IMRE is also committed to fostering collaborative research projects and extending our electron microscopy services to other iHLs and industrial partners.
