Lipidomics@SingMass is the unit based at SLING in NUS and its goal is to advance the understanding of the biochemistry of lipids. SLING (NUS) treat lipids not as isolated entities but as a metabolic network. By working with different research and corporate groups, SLING will expand the knowledge further in this exciting and fast developing field.
SLING’s laboratory hosts a combination of mass spectrometers (low and high resolution), methods (shotgun and chromatography) and data analysis capabilities. This is supported by their knowledge of lipid pathway regulation in health and disease and in different organisms. They have developed several panels for robust, sensitive, quantitative and large-scale lipidomics.
Lipidomics@SingMass works as a collaborative service model. SLING@NUS help with project design, sample preparation, sample analysis and data interpretation.
