About SingEM – a Singapore-wide infrastructure network for electron microscopy
There are 5 facilities that provides access to electron microscopy, including sample preparation.
SingEM is an open national research infrastructure for advanced electron microscopy in Singapore. Its vision is to become the Asia-leading centre for electron microscopy through pushing frontiers of the field and developing cross-discipline approaches.
Its objectives are:
SingEM brings together a broad range of capabilities through the partnership of Singapore’s leading electron microscopy platforms across A*STAR Institute of Materials Research & Engineering (IMRE), the NUS Electron Microscopy Unit (EMU), Centre for Bioimaging Sciences (CBIS), NTU Facility of Analysis, Characterisation, Testing and Simulation (FACTS) and NUS Electron Microscopy facility (EMF).
The equipment across all SingEM partner facilities are available and open for usage for all researchers and scientists from both public and private sectors alike. Scientists will be able to book and access their equipment of choice upon successful completion of training as required by the respective platforms. Training sessions will be tailored in accordance to each individual’s level of expertise.
Some of the electron microscopes however, are only open as a form of service. Scientists can enquire further regarding the equipment of interest by clicking the system of choice from “Find an Equipment”, & sending in an enquiry directly to the expert themselves.
For more information, please “Submit an enquiry” for your equipment of interest.
SingEM thanks the Host and Partner institutions for their ongoing support and funding.
