Raman/Brillouin
What is it? A custom setup for confocal Brillouin and Raman micro-spectroscopy.

Manufacturer: NOBIC

Model Name:

Applications Brillouin micro-spectroscopy, Raman micro-spectroscopy

Instrument Overview: A custom built inverted microscope for confocal Raman and Brillouin micro-spectroscopy. The microscope is equipped with a colour camera for sample localisation using transmitted light. Spectra of Raman and/or Brillouin scattering are then collected from the laser focal volume in a confocal configuration. Spectral mapping of the sample can be achieved using the motorised stage which moves different points of the sample to the laser focus.

Technical features and specifications:

Objective lens: 20x (dry),60x (oil)

Filters:

Light sources: Transmitted (halogen), Lasers (561 nm)

Cameras: Andor iDus DU401A-bvf (Raman spectra), pco.edge sCMOS (Brillouin spectra), Point Grey Grasshopper (colour)
Stage: Motorised

Software: Micro-manager
