IMRE has recently acquired a state-of-the-art aberration-corrected Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) from Thermo Fisher Scientific, significantly enhancing A*STAR’s capabilities in advanced characterization and analysis. This cutting-edge microscope, equipped with aberration-corrected optics, a monochromator, ultrafast detectors/cameras, and various powerful in-situ functions, provides the highest energy and spatial resolution information at the atomic scale in Singapore for investigating a wide range of materials.
During the ceremony, microscopists from NUS and NTU will introduce their microscope facilities and capabilities. Additionally, an application scientist from Thermo Fisher Scientific will introduce the functions of the new microscope installed at IMRE. This event will greatly benefit both fundamental research and advanced material design/applications for industry in Singapore.
