The Nikon Ni-E upright microscope is capable of Brightfield, Differential Interference Contrast (DIC) and Widefield fluorescence microscopy of fixed slide samples. It is equipped with a Nikon DS-Fi3 colour camera for brightfield imaging and a Nikon DS-Qi2 monochrome camera for fluorescence imaging. It has LED light sources and filter sets for fluorescence imaging in DAPI, FITC, Texas Red & Cy5 channels, as well as a DAPI/FITC/TRITC triple bandpass filter set. All functions are controlled by NIS-Elements software.
