The UltraMicroscope II is a light sheet fluorescence microscope that enables users to visualize whole biological systems.
A second generation selective plane illumination microscope for 3-dimensional imaging, the Ultramicroscope II allows in vivo imaging as well as the imaging of cleared samples. All optical and mechanical components are compatible to most clearing solutions and water. It also has a dual-side triple-sheet optics for generating two sets of three laser sheets perpendicular to the direction of detection – Width, Rayleigh length, focus and thickness of the three light sheets can be set by software. (Min. thickness: <4.5 μm @ 488 nm for one individual sheet. Focus range: > ±5 mm from center position of the sample for all usable imaging solutions.) The microscope comes with LaVision BioTec ImSpector Software for image capture.
